Let's get right down to business...
Using FlashBench, I got 129Mb/s read and 110Mb/s write in the 3.0 port, and 29Mb/s read and 27Mb/s write in the 2.0 port.
In a real world file transfer, I saw speeds as high as 190Mb/s from a 2.4GB file(it took like 30-35 seconds to complete), and 150Mb/s from a 700Mb file(finished in just a few seconds). For comparison sake, my 7200rpm HDD reads and writes at around 95Mb/s.
To put it simply... it's fast. Very very fast.
Also, I transferred a 22Gb folder to it and speeds peaked at around 130Mb/s and crested in the 90Mb/s range.(it took around 3min to complete) I did this to see how hot it would get. It did get a little warm, but not hot by any means.
Aside from being fast, it feels sturdy and well built, and it has a lifetime warranty.
I highly recommend it *IF* you have USB 3.0, but I would not buy this to use on 2.0 ports.
